Child Safety Standards

1. Our Commitment

OffLimits is a dating application strictly intended for adult users aged 18 and over. We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), child grooming, child sexualization, and any form of child exploitation. We take all reasonable measures to prevent minors from accessing our platform and to detect, remove, and report any prohibited content or behavior.

2. Age Restriction and Verification

OffLimits is restricted to users aged 18 years or older. We enforce this through multiple layers:

Age gate at first launch: users must confirm they are 18 or older before being able to use the application.
Date of birth verification at registration: users must provide their date of birth during onboarding. Accounts with a date of birth indicating an age below 18 are automatically rejected by our backend (database-level constraint).
Google Play Store age verification: our app uses the Google Play "Restrict Declared Minors" setting. Users under 18 declared on their Google account cannot install the app from Google Play.
Content rating: the app is classified as 18+ (Mature / Adults Only) on the Google Play Store.

3. Prohibited Content and Behavior

The following are strictly prohibited on OffLimits:

Any form of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)
Sexualization, sexual depiction, or sexual content involving minors
Grooming, predatory behavior, or any contact attempts targeting minors
Content that promotes, glorifies, or normalizes child exploitation
Sharing of personal contact information seeking minors
Impersonation of minors or use of profile photos depicting minors

Violation of these prohibitions results in immediate and permanent account termination, deletion of all associated content, and reporting to relevant law enforcement authorities where applicable.

4. Content Moderation Mechanisms

OffLimits employs a comprehensive User-Generated Content (UGC) moderation system, consistent with Google Play's policy for dating and social apps:

4.1 In-app reporting

Every user profile and chat conversation includes a "Report" function with predefined categories including: inappropriate content, harassment, spam, fake profile, offensive behavior, and a free-form "other" option for detailed descriptions. Reports are submitted to a moderation queue and reviewed by trained administrators.

4.2 In-app blocking

Users can immediately block any other user, which terminates all communication and removes the blocked user's content from view. Blocking works in both directions and is permanent unless explicitly reversed by the user who initiated it.

4.3 Photo verification (selfie)

Users who wish to upload private photos to the "Secret Lover" premium feature must complete a manual selfie-based verification process where trained administrators visually confirm that the user is an adult and that the submitted selfie matches their profile photos. Submissions showing minors or suspected minors are immediately rejected and the account is permanently terminated.

4.4 Administrative moderation panel

All photo uploads, profile verifications, and reports are reviewed by a human administrator before approval. Suspicious profiles undergo manual inspection. All moderation actions are logged in a tamper-proof audit trail (action, reason, timestamp, deleted content count) for at least 18 months.

4.5 Automated safeguards

Database-level age constraint preventing under-18 registration
Storage cleanup pipeline that permanently deletes content from accounts terminated for child safety violations
Audit log of all admin actions taken against terminated accounts

5. Reporting Suspected Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

If you encounter content or behavior on OffLimits that you believe involves the sexual exploitation or abuse of a minor, please contact us immediately at the email address below. We respond to all reports within 24 hours and prioritize child safety reports.

In addition to reporting to OffLimits, we encourage you to report to the following authorities:

6. Cooperation with Authorities

OffLimits cooperates fully with law enforcement and regulatory agencies in investigations of child exploitation. We respond to lawful requests for information in compliance with applicable laws (including GDPR for EU users) and preserve relevant evidence as required by law.

7. Data Retention

Records of moderation actions (the audit trail) are retained for a minimum of 18 months to comply with regulatory inquiry timelines and appeals. Terminated user accounts and their content are permanently deleted, except for the moderation audit record which contains only metadata (no personal content).

9. Updates to These Standards

These Child Safety Standards may be updated from time to time. Material updates will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, communicated to users through in-app notifications.
